Holidays to the USA

There is nowhere quite like America. A kaleidoscopic patchwork of traditions, languages, food cultures, fantastic music and striking ethereal landscapes, the USA is a remarkable, and often contradictory, land.

Big, bold and beautiful, there really is nowhere else like America. Home to spectacular scenery, larger-than-life cities and iconic landmarks, the USA is a treasure trove of diverse culture and astounding national parks. Due to the sheer size of the country, the weather between regions and states can vary hugely, making the USA a year-round destination.

Where else can you mingle with celebrities in Los Angeles one day, then locals in a rural Louisiana jazz club the next? Enjoy a traditional Southern barbecue in Texas or fabulous seafood in a quaint New England fishing town? Experience the wilderness and erupting geysers of Yellowstone National Park or stand in the heart of pulsating downtown Manhattan? The USA really does have it all.

Hit the road on a fly drive holiday and follow Route 66 through the heart of the Midwest, visit the bright lights of Las Vegas and the astonishing national parks of Arizona and Utah, travel through the countryside of Upstate New York or witness the dazzling colours of fall in New England as the foliage turns from green to copper and crimson. Food and music lovers should make for Nashville and Memphis then explore the Deep South or why not drive California’s spectacular Pacific Coast Highway. Those looking for the ultimate adventure should head to wild and remote Alaska to discover the region’s untamed wildlife and dramatic landscapes. Pettitts Travel have been planning unique and tailor-made USA tours for over 35 years.

As usual you did a fantastic job

HG - USA - July 2023

We had a wonderful time as usual. Everything went to plan with no hiccups, and we saw and did some incredible things.

Yellowstone and Jenny Lake were out of this world, we saw moose, elk and we saw a bear which was incredible to see in the wild. We also drove on the salt flats where they do the land speed records which was an experience.

As usual you did a fantastic job and we loved every second of it.

The leaves performed brilliantly for us

AD & MA - New England - October 2022

We enjoyed our trip to New England very much - in truth more than we had expected. Everyone we met was kind and sympathetic, and we had no difficulty finding a myriad of interesting things to do. The travel arrangements went smoothly, and the accommodation was varied and idiosyncratic as we had hoped. The weather was great and the leaves performed brilliantly for us in Vermont and New Hampshire. We would like to thank you and everyone at Pettitts Travel for being so patient with us - it has been very much appreciated.
